Work meetings with CTPAT representatives aimed at Uruguay-US Customs MRA implementation

Last November, work meetings between Uruguay Customs and CTPAT representatives were held, aimed at moving forward in the implementation of the Mutual Recognition Agreement between Uruguay and US Customs.

The delegation of CTPAT Program - US Customs and Border Protection consisted of three officials, Mr. Cristóbal Hernández, Mr. Guillermo Salomón and Mr. Flavio Garza.

Uruguay Customs and the United States Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Customs and Border Protection also organized an event called ‘Strengthening safe trade between Uruguay and the United States’, which addressed the category of Authorized Economic Operator and Mutual Recognition Agreements as tools for Trade Facilitation and Security in the international supply chain.
